Guy's I know this is mainly a flat top forum, and I'm moving in that direction. See I've already made my side bender.

But since I don't post much & then only to ask a question. I figured I better show something so ya'll wouldn't think I was loitering or something.
So here are to solid bodies that I'm trying to finish up.
The first is a baritone, the body was designed by the customer. I personaly don't like it.

This one is a 12 string carve top that I'm building for the wife. It'll be loaded with a mini humbucker in the neck & a peizo in the bridge.

I had just applied the epoxy to the front or I would have included a picture of the back wich is lacewood. I know you don't need to fill the Maple but the epoxy just seems to bring the grain out more.
I don't know if you can see it but the bridge is setup for 6 through the body & 6 through the back of the bridge.

Nice work on the guitars Dale, i like your bender also, will you use just the heat blanket or the blanket with bulbs? Looks pretty neat!

Nice work Dale. I like the 12 string. Dale can I ask you where you got the plans for the side bender. Thats a nice one you built. I have been thinking of buying one but they are pretty expensive. If you know where I can get plans I'd appreciate it.

I bought the plans, bench screws and springs from LMI. I don't think they list them in there catalogue but you can find them on there website. The plans aren’t the easiest to figure out, at least for me they weren’t

Serge I was going to go with the blanket. I haven't picked one up yet, I was going to talk to John Hall when I was ready. I have a couple of sets of wood that are just begging to be ruined though. I still need to make some molds pickup a tool or two, and find a bit more time. Which may be possible sooner than I thought, I'll find out in a week or so.DaleH38908.0167824074

Dale, good idea to go with John Hall for the blanket, he will sell you a great one and i'd purchase the spring steel slats from him also for they keep the shape well. i also have a blanket from him and it was a wise investment for exotic hardwoods, i also am very happy to have included bulbs in my setup especially when i had to bend some purple heart bindings!

Nice work Dale! I haven't built an electric yet but I plan on it someday. There is just so much you can do with an electric. Shapes, wood, colors, etc, I bet they are fun to build. WTG Good job on the bender too!

Thanks guys. Here are a couple that I couldn't take last night. I had just finish shooting the last coat of ktm on the baritone & the fretboard was taped up and the epoxy on the 12 was still sticky.
